Hockey Red Wings sign Filip Hronek to three-year contract

DETROIT The Hockey Red Wings signed Filip Hronek on Friday to a three-year contract worth US $ 13.2 million. The Czech defender will add $ 4.4 million to the salary cap through the 202324 seasons.

Hronek has scored 16 goals and 64 assists in his first 167 NHL regular-season games. The 23-year-old had 26 points with Detroit last season.
