Tampa Bay Lightning Nikita Kucherov’s injury ‘not a day-to-day thing,’ coach Jon Cooper says
Tampa Bay Lightning star Nikita Kucherov’s physical issue relied upon to keep him out of the setup for a lot of time, as indicated by mentor Jon Cooper.
“Most certainly not something every day,” Cooper said after the Lightning’s skate Monday.
Kucherov didn’t take part in that training, and the mentor said the group is looking out for extra data about his status.
The winger seemed to experience a lower-body injury in Tampa Bay’s 2-1 extra-time triumph over the Washington Capitals on Saturday night. He left the ice at 9:08 of the third time frame. The group’s mentor checked him at the seat and afterward left for treatment. Kucherov skated 17:26 in the game. On the season, he has an objective and three aids in three games.
“He’ll be assessed when we get back. He’s an extreme child, so ideally this isn’t really awful. However, it’s too soon to determine what’s up,” Cooper said after the game.
Lightning commander Steven Stamkos was somewhat more emotional: “Kuch is a quite troublemaker. It didn’t look great. He’s probably the best player in the association. We’re asking he’s OK.”
Neither the Lightning nor Kucherov’s representative would remark on the idea of the injury. The group said it presently can’t seem really settled whether more data would be delivered about Kucherov on Monday. Tampa Bay has the opponent Florida Panthers on Tuesday night.
Kucherov is the Lightning’s upper traditional. His spot on their first line with focus Brayden Point and winger Ondrej Palat was filled by veteran Corey Perry at training on Monday. Palat climbed to have Kucherov’s spot on the Lightning’s top strategic maneuver unit.
